As part of the ITS NES datacenter network refresh project, routing will be changed for the network used by ITS-managed storage in the ITF datacenter.

This includes network shares for Files@Iowa services (Home Drives, Shared Drive aka L: or U: drives, UDSS, ADSS) and Research Data Storage Service (RDSS).  (Research Services' Large Scale Storage, LSS, is not impacted.)

The network change will result in the affected shares being inaccessible for up to 5 minutes.

EI-TPS with be upgrading the DFS service.  This service maintains the \\iowa.uiowa.edu\shared network storage space and is not expected to be disruptive. 

The old 2012 Server DFS03.iowa.uiowa.edu (ITF subnet) will be disabled from DFS namespace.
